Here is the EQ setting I used - hope this helps:
Bass - maxed Mid - 9:00 Treble - 1:00 Gain - maxed Presence - maxed
It's pretty much every bit of grind I could get out of it - really need to take a morning off and drive to Scott's shop for 3rd Gear modding!

Yes - I'm such a rhythm player (need Craig to give me some lead lessons) that I literally use the bottom end like a kick drum in my riffs. Of course, the QR compresses very nicely with high gain and the bottom end stays tight and focused.

Of course, the QR compresses very nicely with high gain and the bottom end stays tight and focused. definetly cool to see that all the positions on the dials are useable! as I was saying before, I think in another thread, that alotta amps have that one sweet spot...you move a knob or two a hair's breadth outta position and BAM! totally changes..and not for the better.. but from what I'm hearing with the splawns, while changing knobs will obviously change the tone, it won't make it unusable... like you said, you dimed the bass...some amps would fart out..but yours still sounded tight...you also maxed the gain...some amps would just become muddy and undefined, not so with the splawns...me likey

I run alot of bass too, usually around 3:00. Me likey alot,, LOL.. It never flubs out especially with the Splawn cab. I took the Marshall cab with the Celestions to rehearsal last night. I definitely don't like it as much, but its still tight on the bottom.
