I'd have to look up whether the loop is tube driven. I didn't think it was.
If you turn the loop volume down the amp should not get louder. That's a problem
What happens if you let the amp warm up for 5 minutes?

The thing is, honestly I can live with noise for ten sec I’m just worried it will mess the head up due to it is a attenuator and don’t wanna take a chance messing up transformers etc

OK...just saw your vid.
Me thinks the amp just needs to warm up.
It is probably some kind of flyback voltage or something. That rushing sound?
Unless I'm missing something I think you may have a microphonic preamp tube and you need to let your amp warm up more.
I mean me...I would def swap some tubes around - both pre and power. I can help you with that if you need. it is not hard, you just have to keep track of what you are doing.
(you also could have a bad solder joint or scratchy vol pot or dirty socket.
Sockets and tube pins are easy to clean. YOu just need a contact cleaner...LIKE DIOXIT. Buy it...it is great.

Awesome and really thanks so much for your help, honestly the tubes that are in it I would not normally use, they are 6550’s and honestly I’d like the el34’s better but I would have to send it to a tech and I don’t have the cash at the moment to get it done, before this amp I owned a Soldano slo-100 head for 23 years that honestly I love the splawn more and I was just concerned by what’s going on am I taking a chance at ruining the head, here are some more pics

Good info an good luck my friend. I don't think you have any major emergencies at this point if that helps. You can pop a matched pair of EL34s in there no problem. We (or Scott) can recommend. I'll see if I have a tube replacement video. Follow that. PS: What you do is you spray the Dioxit contact clearer on the actual 1/4 jack and then work it in and out of the socket 3 or 5 times. Same with tube pins. YOu spray the pins and then work the tube in and out. If your amp was at my house...this is what I would be doing.

Awesome, don’t u have to rebias and change something in the head to run el34’s? It currently has 6550’s which the bias is way different I’m sure, Scott told me to tell a tech don’t run the bias any higher then 32, honestly wish I could do it myself lol

I had similar issue in past with Marshall amp and it was a bad tube associated with the loop. Changed the tube and voila! Thanks Brianman! GOod advice.

Yeah, I was thinking QR for some reason. Yes....there is a different resistor to go to EL34s. Sorry man NOt a big job tho and for all i know his newer amps can take whatever. PS I"ve heard that a NItro on EL34s is killer

Yeah I’m sure, I’m thinking it will push the mids a big as well as smooth the bass up a bit! In time when I get the cash I’m thinking of sending my head to Scott and having him make maybe the first of its kind a nitrod lol! Wear it has the gear function as well as a mid boost where it adds the same amount of mids as the qr does! Maybe make it a push/pull knob!im glad I was able to get the vid for u due to it took my like 20 times turning the amp on standby and off standby to do it due to the file was too big!

Nope. Midwest.
The basic stuff we can walk you thru it.
That said.....I'd take your amp to a qualified amp tech.

When I can get the tubes done I will for sure take it to someone pro for sure, the main thing that I wanted to know that I’ll find out more from Scott Monday is the way it’s running now does he feel that it’s not good to keep running it like that due to I need to use the loop volume due to the amp is way too loud in the house without it lol,and from what u already think it’s good which does clear my head a bit so thanks so much again for your help brother and I’ll let u know after a speak to Scott what he says! Thanks again brother
