I got a Samsung S7 yesterday! I had the S3 for about 5 years. Wow! What a difference in speed lol! I fly through Facebook now and this forum is so much faster too!
It takes amazing pic....I thought my s3 took good pics lol.
My provider wanted to increase my monthly fee to $75 from $24 in order to get new s7. So I went out and bought a used one (used 1 month...like new) and then I cut my SIM card to fit in it. That was tricky because had to trim it to a hair width of the data strip. But I succeeded and now save $600 a year! Yaya!
Why did I wait so long.....

The ones that explode are the S7 Note. I have a Galaxy S7. I am safe lol.
Do you guys use an app for this forum like tapa talk? I am trying to find one that will notify me everytime there is a new post or comment on here. I just tried tapa talk but it didn't notify me of the last reply....

Congrats on your new phone.
When I saw the thread title I assumed it was a spammer at first LOL.
I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket but I don't remember it being particularly slow though. Wasn't slow on this site either.
I recently got a Microsoft (Nokia) Lumia 650 I think it is called with Windows 10. Interesting. I got it because I thought having MS Word and Excel would be helpful for work related stuff while on the road or at my cabin. Shortly after getting it my company dissallowed that for security reasons. It is good for mail though and has a 20 megapixel camera which is pretty amazing. My company pays for my phones AND my service so I guess I can't complain. Haven't paid for anything cellular in over 15 years.
I don't use tapatalk.

Yeah I will mess around with tapa talk and see if I can turn on notifications somehow but so far I can't find that option.
Yeah Splawn dude it's nice to have Microsoft Office software on the phone! I really don't use my pc anymore!
I used to have to upload videos to my pc and then to YouTube or Facebook but now can do everything from my phone.
You're lucky work pays for phone...that's awesome!

I have an iPhone 6 and the function to turn notifications on/off is in the settings menu, not actually on tapatalk.

Since we started talking about phones it made me curious as to what a recording would sound like with my new phone. There was some weird clipping but the amps were pretty loud and I didn't really dial anything in special. I just turned on the amps and turned on the phone and hit record. I think if I spent more time at it I could make it sound better. This is my Mesa Rectoverb and Quickrod together. They balance each other nicely. The Vypyr Tube 60 in the fireplace was on but not running. That adds a whole other level.  |

Ha. Thanks. Glad you liked it. Doesn't sound anything like what it did in the room - but I was pretty surprised for a cell phone. I like to record more as a learning tool but hooking up the pre and the mic (SM57) and using Audacity is kind of a pain. This seems like a much easier way to just get 'ideas on tape'. I'm going to explore some of these 1/4 condenser mics that I see out there for phones and see it captures the sound better. I did a few other short clips that day so I'll upload those here if interested.  (sorry to hijack your thread briman) |

Ha. Ok cool Brian. Maybe we will get some other cell phone clips in here. The one I really wanted won't upload for some reason but here is another one. A little different than my normal stuff but still in Drop C. I really need to work on the settings, phone placement, external mic etc.  |

Love it. Sounds like you had pretty loud! I will try and make a clip with mine phone tomorrow or Wednesday. No guarantees though because i have guys coming to intsall new windows in my house the next 3 days. Hopefully i'll have time.
