I had a Bogner Ecstacy. Great amp.
I A/B'd it against an Engl Screamer and immediately sold the Bogner and bought the Engl HALF-STACK and had change leftover!!!!!!.
Bogner is a great amp but Way too much $$$$.
A very, very versatile amp though. You have to spend alot of time getting to know all of it's tonal options.
Quickly:
Channel 1-Good,not great, clean
Channel 2-Awesome Plexi mode!!! The best part about this amp.
Channel 3-OK high gain channel.Just didn't do it for me.
Great amp.very good tones.Very,very expensive.

what did you hate about it, kurt? Just average sounding at best...worth the dough?? who knows??.I've had better sounding amps (to my ears) that cost nowhere near what a Bogner does but cost aside...and really cost does'nt and should'nt come into play in the search for great tone because whether and amp cost's $100.00 or $10,000.00 it's all in the eyes (or ears in this case) of the beholder because I've herad Bogners being used and they sounded great! but..In my hands it just was'nt happening? I hated the Framus Cobra that I had as well but there again...it all boils down to if it trips your trigger or not...

I did have a Diezel VH4 for awhile and was considering getting a Herbert but "lucked" into the Splawn QR that totally changed my mind because...With the VH4 I only liked channels 1 and 3, Channels 2 and 4 were worthless to me hence my desire to go with a Herbert. I got hold of the old style QR and although not as flexable as say the VH4 or Herbert but...I'd rather have 1 Killer tone than say 3 or 4 that I only "kinda" like and I don't care what "name" is on the amp as long as it's putting a smile on my face

I still have an Ecstasy 101B, I think its an exellent amp, fizzy it ain't. I can understand people having different tastes in tone but I'd tend to think that if you like the Splawn QR you wouldn't hate the 101B ;D. Some people do claim its too dark sounding and it can be dark which ain't all that bad imho.
As far as the clean on the QR, its usable but not great. I have the shred EQ version, I dunno if the new ones are better or not, clean isn't a big deal for me anyways but the drive channel is worth the price of admission alone in my book.

I had the older shared EQ version also. I was pretty down on the clean channel but loved the amp otherwise. I sold it and later got it back. I found that my G-Major in the loop with some notching of the mids made it tons better. My other guitar player bought that amp and I picked up a new QR. I can tell you that the clean is much improved with the separate EQ. Very useable and with some processing damn good!
