I think its great that guys like 7sting and shawn can afford all that gear.. awesome collection. I'm just now starting to buy more stuff. I played the same 2 PRS guitars for over 10 years and never had another electric until the Mansel... and I guarantee I was gigging more than all you bozo's combined,,, LMAO.. Hey thanks, i started with the crappy stuff and worked my way. I bought and sold more amps and guitars it' crazy. Always making a couple bucks each time. Then i could afford better gear, been at it 15 years. These are what i kept. My basement is huge, so i can crank my amps no problem Chris

yep, it's like those guys that have all that expensive golf stuff....checkered pants, alligator shoes, checkered cap, $5000 golf clubs....step up to the tee and shank everything....WWWIIIIIFFFFF.....it was almost a cliche' in SoCal: if you had bad dude expensive gear you ain't any good (not all the time BUT most of the time!)...we would go to gigs and some bands had all this very expensive stuff...Neil Peart drum kit, 2 stacks Marshalls without a scratch on em, expensive bass rig...9 times out of ten, they step up on stage and SUCK...usually SUCK big time...No offense to this guy posting here...I don't know him...just sayin' that's all. Yeah well i ain't the kind of guy to show off my expensive gear and saying i'm a good this and that....No way, i'm just really pround of my stuff. As a matter of fact, the only place i can show my stuff is on music boards, cause you guys can appreciate this stuff, here at home, nobody cares about it But i understand what your saying, here is like that too. Big trucks and they use it to go shopping Chris Right on Chris, Same here, Its pretty much a full studio at my home. I enjoy music and playing on quality equipment. no matter how bad I play somedays, it still sounds great hahaha.. and those guys that dont have equipment that say they can play??? sure messes them up when I say here.. play this amp or drum kit.. but its best when your buddies come over and we just jam, no waiting a hour to setup. +1 on the only place that appreciates it is on the boards. Tried the stamps,, I didnt know ya wasnt supposed to lick em. LMAO

I hope you gig out with all that good stuff . Nothing kills me more than a wall of full stack amps and guitars for someone jamming in their bedroom. No offense meant dude, I'm just jealous because I'm a poor man. I have 1 combo amp and 1 half stack and 2 guitars. Nahh, i don`t gig out I just love nice guitars and amps. It's better than collecting stamps;) But don't worry, i get to crank the amps up to gig levels, my basement is pretty big. I've got a PA and drum set. So we get pretty good jams. It's all good, Chris At least you get to jam with it. Aren't these message boards great? You finally gt to talk to otheres who can appreciate all the $$$$ you have blown ;D

Peavey Wolfgang USA Special? Is there such a thing as a special made in USA? Yep...the earlier run of amber flame tops were made in the USA. It really is a sweet little guitar...no frills, just a straight ahead rocker. My only gripe about the guitar is that the volume pot is getting a little scratchy.

Just because someone has a bunch of nice gear doesn't mean they don't deserve it or can't play a note or never gigged. As far as 4x12's, I have a bunch of them as well as multiple amps. They sound great in my home studio. Is it overkill? Perhaps but I never made a distinction between the stage or the home use. Tone and volume are the same regardless of location or venue. I come from the school of practice with what you perform with. I was never one of those guys who had a separate practice rig left just for band practice. Although I did a lot of technique building/practicing w/o an amp

And it`s weird, when i got to music stores and ask to speak to "AMP GUY" and we start talking and he`s saying he knows his stuff and so on, and then i tell him i have a Splawn or a Framus, Bogner and he goes "What ?" It cracks me up. It`s also pretty sad, i can`t have any good conversations about the gear that i love. Good thing these places exist Chris

You finally gt to talk to otheres who can appreciate all the $$$$ you have blown ;D[/quote] LOL, you got a point there my friend But something people don`t get is, when you buy used quality gear, you rarely lose any $$$$, i sure never did. Even when you buy new, you don`t lose to much. It`s like an investment. It goes up in value over time. Man when i bought my Deans back when i started collecting them, nobody knew what i was talking about.LOL and i paid like $150 for my baby V and all the others cost between $250 and $600 Now there worth triple what i paid and more. Thanks for your comments man,

OK it was a little funny. agreed its also sad that many dont know.. but having a amp that most dont know about keeps us in front of the pack on tone! I too feel blessed that I was able to put together the gear I have. my haven away from the world! I cant hear anyone knocking on doors, phones ringing etc..! LMAO!

I love my Malmsteen!
The neck is fatter, and more C shaped than a Warmoth Standard Thin. And definitely more fat and round than the Ibanez/Jackson type. But very comfortable really.
I like the thin Wizard/Jackson necks. I like the rounder Fender necks.
I just like to play one or the other,as switching can be a small shock to the fretting hand.
The pickups sound great, especially the YJM neck pickup.Talk about "juicy".Very "flutey", if that makes sense.
And the tremelo actually stays in tune pretty well.
I have several strats set up in similar fashion,my favorite being my Fender American body,Warmoth scalloped rosewood reverse headstock neck,DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Solo Pro bridge-DiMarzio YJM neck-stock middle pick ups,Reverse slant bridge pickup pickguard Stratocaster. I call this my "Voodoo" for obvious reasons.......
Fender Voodoo Stratocaster.Right hand body, reverse headstock and reverse bridge pickup. Remember those ?

Any one of these ;D Chris OK Chris, I don't know why our friendly forum administrator, VomHalen hasn't said anything but...uhhh......well you've broken a little rule and you really need to be admonished for it. The rule is: NEVER EVER obscure the image of Randall William Rhoads! Not even with an incredible piece of musical equipment. OK?.......Alright. I really hate being the bad guy here, and I hope I'm not outta' line, especially since I'm pretty much a newb, but that had to be said. LOL! Awesome music room dude!!!! That's a great collection. If, for some reason, you ever decide to give all your stuff away, I want first dibs on the Caddy. ;D
