Hope it works out for you guys...what type of music? (don't tell me 'Van Halen' ...) it's basically party rock from 80s/90s/today...my old band did 3 or 4 VH tunes but we may forego the VH tunes for this project...who knows...

Hi Splawn fan,
just want to let you know I am new to this forum.have had my QR for about 10 months. was one of the first clean channel jobs.I am also from the same town as you.I use the QR in a blues band. Not to many people buying them for blues but it is a good secret.put a digital reverb in the loop and use the clean channel cranked and you have a blues machine.Would love to check out your new band since you will probably play all the places I know and have played.

I hope you get that together man, its tough I know it. We are in the middle of the revolving bass player syndrome right now.. thank goodness I know lots of people to fill in for tomorrow and next week... its very frustrating. I'm sure you'll get it back together in no time.

I'll probably get beat for this but, have you considered just going out and doing a few 'acoustic' gigs with you, tuskerkevin and your singer doing some unplugged stuff? that will help you guys work on vocal stuff and get some chemistry together while gigging...at those types of gigs you have a much better opportunity to meet musicians...just a thought... ....80s hair metal actually lends itself to unplugged pretty well...(here comes the beating...) Bon Jovi, G n R, Queensryche etc...

Bon Jovi, G n R, Queensryche etc... yeah...i did some acoustic stuff before...it's kinda boring...plus, you have to play on weeknights because very few places around here book that on fridays/saturdays...anyway, we have all the guys intact for a band and even rehearsed once...sounded pretty good...just need to get through the holidays here and get on a regular rehearsal schedule...we have a few songs already worked up...i say we can be out by early february...
