I'll probably get beat for this but, have you considered just going out and doing a few 'acoustic' gigs with you, tuskerkevin and your singer doing some unplugged stuff? that will help you guys work on vocal stuff and get some chemistry together while gigging...at those types of gigs you have a much better opportunity to meet musicians...just a thought... ....80s hair metal actually lends itself to unplugged pretty well...(here comes the beating...) Bon Jovi, G n R, Queensryche etc... yeah...i did some acoustic stuff before...it's kinda boring...plus, you have to play on weeknights because very few places around here book that on fridays/saturdays...anyway, we have all the guys intact for a band and even rehearsed once...sounded pretty good...just need to get through the holidays here and get on a regular rehearsal schedule...we have a few songs already worked up...i say we can be out by early february... your right...it is boring...no real soloing going on...but, Ive done some acoustic/classical stuff and it has been received real well...the 'general' public is more accepting of the non-shred style and it is an opportunity to get 'closer' to the audience which is what I love... I'm glad you're on your way!

I did an acoustic duo for 2 years on the side. It was alot of fun. We did all classic rock but I would spice up all the solos with a super DiMeola rip-off, "Friday night in San Francisco" vibe.
Crowds love shredding and fast guitar. Especially non-guitar players because they are usually the ones most impressed simple things like a fast run.

Hey Vom from Fairfield. no that is not the blues band I was in. The band was called bluescape. It was built around a Female singer which was the biggest mistake of my life. I am currently rebuilding the band with a male singer. Maria was an awsome singer that could sing anything from blues to heavy rock but lost her interest in playing out.real shame. she did a mean Led Zep cover "Since I"ve Been Loving You" You can here my clip on the splawn site. it was a cover of an old BB King song. I played guitar, bass and Keyboards on that recording. I also was in a n original rock band called Silent Majority which I played all keyboards.we played Toads every 3 months.I left because I do not want to play just keyboards. love my guitars and my Splawn quick Rod too much.do you know Don from Black Rock music that just opened up a new music store in fairfied.I am actually looking for a band that is doing 80s and 90s rock.My favaorite is White Snake,Bon Jovi, and all that Hairband stuff even though I lost most of my hair but I had it in the 80s.love doing blues but there is not too many places that want an all blues band beside the Boxcar.I would love to just have two bands that each play a few times a month.guy's in my blues project hate hard rock.

Since I've Been loving you is not on the Splawn site. A BB King remake is up there. I have a 24 track recording set up in my house. never recorded Since I've Beeen loving you. Wish I did.one of the best songs we did in that band. Actually maybe I will do that for Ha Ha -s . I am still friends with the female singer and she will come over and sing anything for recording but does not want to play out anymore atleast right now.my nieghbor is my drummer and I have a set of drums over here because my son plays drums but not good enough yet for a band
