Just got a new (to me) QR. I'm running it through an EarCandy Buzzbomb loaded with a Vintage 30 and a Man-O-War...I've never ever been able to say this before but, I'm done. The search for tone is now over...this is that sound I've had in my head for years but could never attain with prior rigs.

It's a great amp. Hope you enjoy it. We will, however, require clips. We're hounds for them.

I'll work on it as I've really enjoyed listening to all of your clips. I'm just blown away by how well the QR sounds through the Buzzbomb...I'm just not sure how to go about micing the amp in a live situation. Tim (from Earcandy) mentioned micing inf front of the port about 11-14 inches away...but I'm worried that there might me some spill over from other instruments.
I'm probably a few weeks away from making some clips as I just set up my practice space...and it is on the other end of the house from my Mac. Speaking of clips...you guys/gals know where I can get some cool backing tracks?

11-14 inches away won't work for a live show,, maybe in the studio, but not live. Put the mic right up on the speaker off center just a bit. I wouldn't recommend angling it or anything unless the mic is specifically designed to do that..

Thx, I sort of thought it could get pretty sloppy on stage with that kind of space between the mic and the cab...maybe I'll play around at practice next time and see what sounds good through the PA.

I use a SM-57 too. Live and at home.

SM-57 = the Swiss Army Knife of recording. That mic hasn't changed in over 30 years and still handles the most critical of recording and amplification jobs. It's been on the President's podium for over 30 years as well. There's really nothing to it, which supports the old adage that simple is usually better: basically a membrane on a spring which moves with soundwaves. A~M~A~Z~I~N~G
