Calling Floridian rockers, thrashers and shredders... Whelp...I am selling my main recording amp (local pickup only). My modded Splawn. A vintage unobtanium amp was just dangled in front of me by a collector and I HAVE TO HAVE IT so the Splawn must go. The Splawn has a depth mod, and because of the mod you can't use the loop. The depth mod only ads about 15% of subtle bass, in the form of a tighter low end "woody' swing that stock Splawns can't get but it makes all the difference to a mic. If you want, you can use the depth mod and the loop, but you would have to drill a hole for the depth pot at the back of the amp. I never use the loop, so I just used the hole that was already there for the loop pot. Alt, you can drill no holes, leave the pot maxed out (like I always have it anyway) and place the depth pot inside the amp and tie it down. Here is the same (my) amp in action: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5vtpjtrvnUwww.youtube.com/watch?v=7UqRI8AkfksThe tubes were tested recently...here was the exact moment when the tubes it came with were found out.... So if you are in Florida, I will drive halfway to you, or you can come and drive to me and chill, jam and hangout etc. I don't want to ship it. It's too precious. There are not many Splawns with depth mods out there, and at one point I may be wanting it back if you sell in the future, haha. To be fair, a Splawn quickrod has probably been my longest amp owned (this is my second). So I'll have one again. But this opportunity I have for a vintage amp is too good to miss. The tolex has a few gouges but physically it's great and sonicaly fantastic. it comes with the footwsitch. $1195. I'm on the treasure coast, Stuart Florida.
