Bought a used Nitro here recently after buying a brand new custom ordered Drop B+ QR and absolutely loving it. Have both. The Nitro is just amazing. I sort of think of the Nitro to the QR as the Uberschal is to the Ecstacy. The Nitro has such USABLE gain - it is just amazing. Minimal hiss, hum, feedback or noise of any kind - even on the highest gain settings. And with the Resonance control, the low end holds together better than any amp I have ever played through. The QR has a very open, uncompressed, 'natural' break-up that really exposes any glitch in your technique. So I do my daily woodsheddin' on the QR in 1st Gear. When its time for a little 'fun' and you plug into the Nitro, the guitar darn near plays itself. All of the gain of a Dual Rec without all the squish and compression. I just love this amp! (both of 'em, actually) For pure versatility, if you could only pick one, the QR with the Drop B+ and 3 Gears with 2 OD modes each really covers the most ground sonically. But if I was on the road with Whitesnake (yeah, right) and just needed that 'Cryin' in the Rain / Still of the Night' MONSTER tone for every song, I would have a backline of Nitros.
