Esquire in to the QR. I use the amp a bid differently. I keep the guitar level low, to about 4K +-. I goose the board at the end with a Luxury Drive. I am putting out about 13K in to the amp. For HB's, I use Gear 1 and for SC pickups I use Gear 2 as it adds thickness and presence. In the loop, I am using a JoeMeek 3Q. The tone stack is really well voiced in that unit. I can sweep it over for more chime, bigger bass, compensate for Fletcher Munson.. At gig volumes, I can tune to a room.
I can also tune the amp to different cabs.
This amp is no "one trick pony".
I can thicken and sweeten the tone, and by careful use of the compressor, I can make the tone stand out very well in a live mix.
As many amazing amps that I have had, I have never had what I would consider a "desert island" amp. I have finally come across one.
One of my favorite amps ever.
The clip is just a short downtempo song idea. Kind of noisy as the record levels were high and the family was asleep. SUPER low volumes. It responds to touch even better at higher volumes.
I love tactile sounding/feeling amps. It is like this amp is watching me/waiting for me to do what I do. It responds as if it was tuned to my mind.
