Thank God I have an amp!

man every day I look at the forum re-reading posts, looking for new ones. I've watched vids and re- watched vids. I joined the forum. I look at pics and youtube. I read about settings and tubes and cabs and speakers.... if they don't send my amp soon I may have to call a friggin shrink. No seriously, 6 weeks today since ordered. Now I know how Gollum feels, "My precious!!!!!!" I don't think Whoever said patience is a virtue has ever had to wait for a SPLAWN amp!

Well first off, haven't been on in a while but... I received my streetrod w/ extention cab. Came in good shape, packed well. I have a closed back on the cab for some punch. I can't believe the tones..... I have 17 pedals and now use about 6. Eq, uni-vibe, wah, chorus, phase, delay but mainly the eq, and delay and some wah. That's all this amp needs. Not that it needs anything at all! Man what a beast. Mostly playing on les paul what a combination! Also a san dimas Charvel, strat and an Ibanez.  I've been playing around with it and have some different settings, first some high gain and presence 2nd gear od 2 but have dialed back some of the gain and presence and switched to od 1 still in 2nd gear. I am getting comfortable dialing up my settings on demand. I like the solo switch too. The clean channel is a beast to. With the out of phase push/pull on les paul I get some killer stuff. Some really great clean channel tones. Burst buckers are pretty good. I tell you what, this amp and the les paul standard are meant for each other. I am glad that I bought this amp or should I say "THE SPLAWN" Bravo Scott and crew bravo.
