While e-mailing with Scott on the specs of my new QR, I sent him a link to these 2 clips. He got a kick out of them and suggested I post them here, even though these are with my Mesa Mark III. I am trying to get my chops up to snuff to re-record these clips using the new QR. The overall tone is WAAAYYYY better with the QR, but not a forgiving of the occasional 'left hand not know what right hand do' as the Mesa, which really squeezes alot of Simul-Class 'Juice' into the rough spots of your playing. Anyway - Mesa Mark III, 6L6/5881 tubes all across, Bogner Cubes with Vintage 30s. Cream frankenstrat, EMG81 bridge. Purple Liberatore Neck-Through, also an EMG 81. I am on day 2 of my 7-day woodshed boot-camp to get my hands synched up for a few more clips. The QR definitely sounds better to my ears. Bu my old Mesa also sounds much better in the room than through the condenser mic on my phone. QR has a 'bigger' tone for lack of a better term. MUCH more articulate! Getting used to changing my muting and pick attack to adapt to the new tone. But when its on, man its really on! More clips this weekend!
