Just a quick fun little video we did with our version of the old blues standard "Going Down" off the upcoming CD "Mike Fleming Band - Rockin' The Blues" featuring Mark Schulman on drums (Pink / Foreigner), Reese Wynans on keys (Stevie Ray Vaughan / Buddy Guy), Don Boyette on bass (Michael Jackson / Joe Walsh), Roy Nichol on vocals (April Wine) and Mike Fleming on guitars. The guys in this video are friends of ours...not the actual recording band. All guitars were recorded with a Quickrod on Gear 1 and also a Nitro here and there thru a Splawn 2x12 cab with Creambacks. LOVE my Splawns! Thanks Scott!!

Thanks guys...very appreciated. I know it's a little cleaner sound than normally heard with some of the Splawn clips I've heard...which is what got me to buy Splawns in the first place. This just shows a bit different tone which shows the amp's versatility. My amp tone settings were everything pretty much at noon, gain at about 9 o'clock on gear 1 and the volume about 1/2 way up. Real loud! I miced the 2x12 cab (V30's) with a SM57 combined with a Royer R101 at the edge of the dust cap, straight on and right against the grill cloth....both mics on the same speaker....into a Chandler TG2 mic pre. My Quickrod is an older model. My Nitro is brand new and it's amazing too. Cheers!
