Splawn Street Rod with new Splawn Duratex 4 x 12 Cabinet

Here is a picture of my Splawn Street Rod Head with the new Splawn 4 x 12 Duratex Cabinet V30/Creamback X pattern. I just got this cabinet today and it blew me away! I already have a Splawn 2 x 12 with small block speakers and although it sounds great, the 4 x 12 is awesome. In the future I will experiment with small block/creamback, V30/small block combinations in the 4 x 12 cabinet. I recently bought some cables so I can try the Splawn with the Axe FX II in the effects loop. I also want to try it with the four cable method.


Anyway I am in cabinet heaven!

PS, the Angus Young Signature SG with Angus Young Pickup in the bridge is a match made in heaven with this Splawn setup!

Nice setup! Often wondered about the V30/creamback combination. I have smallblocks and v30's in my 4X12, sound pretty good together.

Thank you! I am looking forward to trying out the smallblock/V30 combination, if I can ever pry myself away from playing to swap the speakers.

Me too! I'm considering going to a wet/dry rig and would need another 4X12 cab. The Duratex is a fair bit cheaper than the Tolex covered cab.

Update: wooooweeeee! The Vintage 30 & Creambacks combo is too bright in the mids for my ears.
