Hi all,
I have looking for a good way to make my solos jump out a bit and to get them fuller. The solo boost my my QR goes from off to tear your face off and step on it loud, so I wanted a smoother option.
I couldn't be happier with the MXR 10 Band. Very versatile and adjustable. Sounds freaking great!

I also use the MXR 10 band EQ but, I use it more to take the edge off of the clean channel, works great and doesn't add any noise or tone suckage!

TK... you running it out front, or in the loop? In the loop. I am doing that because of the way I run my effects and wireless. I didn't want to add another cable. It doesn't add any noise, but really has a dramatic effect depending on how you set it. It makes solos wayyyy better. It has gain if you want it and volume. Really happy.

Are you running other F/X in the loop, too? Reason I ask... I run a couple Eventide units and a Rocktron Replifex in the loop, and tried patching an EP Booster in the loop along with the processors. I liked what it did for the sound, but it also created a hum I could not get rid of so I gave up on it.

I have no noise issues.

Hey guys, I'm starting to run more pedals, I usually run them in front of amp (not the loop). Is there a better way to do it? I also might add a wireless but afraid of my tone being sucked. Any suggestions? Im running mostly dirt and modulation, not too much clean stuff. I almost always have overdrive running (gear 1). I would also like to add a MXR 10 band EQ.
Pedals: Multiplexer Octave Delay 535 Q Wah Swollen Pickle Phase 90

Just purchased a Mxr 10 eg. Why would u want a gain on this, I find it unusable. the eq has a tad bit of a hiss, other than that . running it thru the loop for solo boost.

Hey guys, just got my first QR, and im running an MXR 10 band EQ in front of the amp. The noise from it is horrible when i turn the volume off on my guitar. I unplug the power source for the pedal and the hum goes away, so i know thats the issue. The thing is, i run the same exact setup through the front of my Bogner Ecstacy and get zero noise. How is this possible? I got the EQ for the Bogner because i like to boost the mids on it and for solo boosting, the Splawn needs no help in this dept (why i got it). But like Tuskerkevin said, the Splawn solo boost practically rips your face off. So i thought about putting EQ in the loop, but not with that noise.
How am i getting noise from one amp and not the other?
