I've clocked 14 years and many thousands of hours on my trusty ESP axe and she's starting to bitch about her working conditions. I've got a new pickup toggle switch, bridge, tuning machines, nut, and EMG's "Het Set" on the way. I can't wait to hear how she sounds with all the new bling.

Got my new pickup set in today. WOW!!! EMG really went all out on what they include in these sets. It comes with every electronic component you need to install these except the toggle switch and battery. I hope they sound as good as they look.

Can't go wrong with the 81. It used to kick my old Laney 50w pro tube in the ovaries! Have never tried the 61, but I hear it's real versatile.

The EMG "Het Set" is the real deal. I have another EMG equipped guitar that I A/B'd with my ESP and the difference is a lot bigger than people have reported in the reviews I read. Everything is bigger, louder, clearer, and complex. I can really hear more of the amp's character rather than the sterile EMG voicing that always dominates when playing through 81's. The best way I can describe the bridge pup is it sounds and feels like a BKP Riff Raff but with twice the output. The neck pup really shines when played clean. Even through the clean channel of my EL34 equipped Nitro it still is very chimey and piano like.
