Sennheiser Mic

Hi all,

I just purchased the new Sennheiser E906 mic. For more years than I would like to admit, I have been using the good ole SM57. Last night was my first show with the new mic. Not only is it nice to not have another stand in my way, but daaayum this thing sounded good last night! The 57 was always fine, but the 906 was very aggressive. Very, very impressed! You can also select three different presence filters with it.

Is that the square, sorta flat looking one? I've looked at those a few times and considered giving it a try, but never got around to pulling the trigger. I was actually kinda hoping maybe I'd work with a sound guy that had one and get a free, no-hassle test drive! Thanks for the review!

Yes, it hangs perfectly in front of your speakers....really nice. Seriously, I was very impressed. I have a lot of gigs in my future so I will get lots of chances to work with it.

I use that mic along with the SM57. The combination of the two sounds huge.

I should try that with my 57 too.
