Has anybody here had switching issues? My Supercomp has had issues with the bridging rectifier getting hot, i spoke to Scott about it about a month and a half ago, he said he was gonna mail me a new one, as i am able to do a reasonable amount of electronics repair. I have sent at least 4 follow up emails and have gotten no response at all. I guess i am gonna have to source the correct one elsewhere and repair it. I am a bit frustrated that i have not been able to get any response about the matter, I have met Scott and even been in his shop, he is a great guy, but i am not all that impressed with the customer service response over this. I realize that Scott is busy running a business and dealing with artist reps etc., but this is a minor issue that needs attention and has already caused a couple of fuses to blow, i have inspected the rectifier and have noticed the traces beginning to discolor, if it completely fails, then my amp is down, i use it weekly at a few churches i play in.

A phone call is always best. A lot of my email goes straight to my spam. I never open these or check them half the time. Maybe he does this too?
Just call him

I OLNY wanted to make sure the "110" was 120 volts and first answer Scott gave was, it's an amp made for the Japan market... Still didn't answer my question. Then I kept getting pretty heated emails saying " YOU CANT USE 220 or 240 only 110. Well yes I know and knew that... After I had to break it down and say again.. So the 110 IS 120 volts just labeled wrong? And he said yes. He responded pretty quick but was kinda high tempered and I UNDERSTAND about the music gear biz, I work and answered emails for WGS Speakers for years.. But you got to alway maintain "clarity" as much as you can in a conversation and there wasn't any of that. Scott builds great amps, but he might need a phone bitch. Lol. JK JK. Naw he actually told me he was confused and I was too so it's all good. I've dealt with WAY WAY worse companies, and I would call Splawn a great company where you can actually talk to the man that built your amp. i just think he was busy and skimed over the email I sent him and though I was asking something else.. And maybe I wasn't clear enough either. But he was super busy that day and did apologize for seeming to come off a little heated. Man I bet he has a hard job, so I would give Scott Splawn a break.. He makes his own amps and answers phone. Also getting dumb questions "like mine" probably don't help. Just wanted to make sure the 110 was 120 volt straight up and it is. THANKS SCOTT.. And the QR is blowin me away more and more each day!
