Because my knowledge of tube amps is not of a tech I was always curious on the what that mystery Phase Inverter tube did. I always got answers that varied in most cases based on opinion and not fact.

No offense, but I couldn't get past the spelling and grammatical errors so I gave up.

For reference, the V1 description in this article does not apply to Splawns. I do agree that the Phase Inverter tube should be considered part of the power section and is a very important stage of amplification.
