Been a few years but I'm looking at Splawns again. I see there are quite a few new models since last I visited this forum & looked at Scott's site. Can someone give me a run-down on the amp "voice" choices? It seems the choices are Quick Rod, Nitro & Pro Mod. What are their characteristics?
(edit) To my understanding, the Quick Rod is a modded Marshall sound. JCM800 or 900?
The Nitro has all the Splawn tone & voiced for bigger low end & lower mids.
So, what's the voice of the Pro Mod?
I've listened to a lot of sound files & after awhile they all start to sound the same. I'm after a single channel head, not a channel switching head. Thanks to anyone who can assist. Right now, the Super Comp 100-watt looks like the ticket.
