Been a few years but I'm looking at Splawns again. I see there are quite a few new models since last I visited this forum & looked at Scott's site. Can someone give me a run-down on the amp "voice" choices? It seems the choices are Quick Rod, Nitro & Pro Mod. What are their characteristics? (edit) To my understanding, the Quick Rod is a modded Marshall sound. JCM800 or 900? The Nitro has all the Splawn tone & voiced for bigger low end & lower mids. So, what's the voice of the Pro Mod?
I've listened to a lot of sound files & after awhile they all start to sound the same. I'm after a single channel head, not a channel switching head. Thanks to anyone who can assist. Right now, the Super Comp 100-watt looks like the ticket.

I have the Super Comp, the OD channel of the Nitro, very good high gain, but you can dial the gain back and do classic rock to, but great with modern rock, metal, single channel beast kinda like you super hot rodded my 1981 JCM800 2204. Thick and meaty all the way thru.
