Right now I'm running my EL34 equipped Nitro into a 4x12 Splawn cab with SB's. They are very smooth and creamy but I've noticed that I really have to crank my treble and presence to get some bite out of it. I'm thinking about swapping 2 of the 4 out with something more prominent in the high mids so what do y'all recommend? V30 Governors G12K-100

I have tried V30's, greenbacks, Reapers and Eminence V12's and my favorite has been the V12's. They sound really big and tight with no spikey highs.

Aren't Big Blocks supposed to be what you are looking for?

Aren't Big Blocks supposed to be what you are looking for? I have no idea. I have never heard big block other than you tube clips. Are they brighter than small blocks?

From clips it seems like the greenbacks sound more "lead" like. I know I loved them when I tried them for a Quickrod. It just seemed like I've seen lots of guys runnig them with Nitro and them having a great topend.
