Hi@all,
I'm thinking about getting a switcher for my SR and pedals. My local dealer is offering 2 models. The GLab GSC-3 and the Rocktron PatchMate Loop 8. Due to I have no experience with switchers, it's difficult for me to compare both.
Does any one of you have experience with one of the models? Which one would you prefer?
Thank's a lot!
Greetings from Germany.
Ralf

I used the original Rocktron Patch Mate switcher for years and years until it finally started to wear out on me. I replaced it with the Loop-8 and have been completely happy with the new unit. It's a litle easier to lay out and program than the Patch Mate, and when combined with the Rocktron Midi Mate foot controller... gives you control options not available on many other products. If you go with the much more expensive All Access Controller it's almost ridiculous how many control options you have, but I've found the Loop-8 w/Midi Mate to be very functional and useful. Have to be honest though... never tried the G-Lab myself, so I can't offer a comparison.

I also use the Rivera RM1 and think it's great. You can buy one directly from Rivera for $229.00. I use an Eventide Timefactor controlled via midi in the effects loop and a few pedals running through the front of the amp. The RM1 is a little smaller than the Patchmate Floor and is fairly simple to program. I had a custom cable made that has all the switching and effects loop cables in a single cable.
