Any opinions on PRS pickups? I use a Dragon set in my PRS CE-22 and live them.
I also had a set of McCarty pickups in my McCarty and liked them but replaced them with Duncan 59/Custom and Pearly Gates neck. Also use a Suhr Aldrich and Rio BBQ.
I have used a Tremonti and liked it but not as much as my Rio Grandes.
So, I am considering trying the Tremonti over my Dragon bridge.

I had a Tremonti and didn't care for it. It has a "hairy" top end I just couldn't dial out of it. I worked at PRS and had a chance to try just about all of them.
To me it's a case of either you like the signature sound their pickups have or you don't. They aren't bad, they just weren't my thing.
For me the Suhr pickups stomp them all day long.

That's kind of a big shot in the dark. What music do you play? What tone do you like? What are you playing through?
Tough to answer based just on the guitar. There's nothing super unique about the McCarty. I dig the Suhr Aldrich, but that's me.

I have a Tremonti prs single cut and I love it, and the pickup. But I have to say that I feel that that bridge pickup Is designed for that guitar, seeing that it a big and warm sounding body. The pickups are hairy and suit that guitar.
But as far as putting it into a ce? Nope!
It kinda reminds me of the EVH pickup.
I also have a ce but the customer 24 and it's loaded with a HFS pickup and it is perfect for that guitar. As a matter of fact that is my favorite pup period.
I have other 24s and I've tried other pickups and the Hfs it the best for that guitar.
So clear and pronounced, just rocks for rhythm and lead.
