The relaunch of Splawn guitars is being slowly stripteased on Facebook. Looks like a natural mahogany superstrat Charvel again. $1850ish depending on options. Headstock has that recut Fender look.

Im very interested in knowing more about the neck shape. Im sure the guitar will be amazing, but can anyone say what the neck shape will be like? Fenderish? I recently discovered my fav neck of all time and thats the Charvel pro mod. Since they stopped production, Im looking for another, but wouldnt mind a step up. If these will have a similar profile, Im sold! Any info?? Thanks

These guitars are custom ordered so there is no set neck shape. You can order nut widths from 1-5/8", 1-11/16", 1-3/4" and the newer 1.650". The neck carve can be the san dimas .75 at the 1st fret or .790 with the C shape or the EVH asymmetrical shape. Let us know what you are after and we will see if we can make it for you. Tree

Put my money down today for a Splawn guitar. Not completely made up my mind on everything yet but thinking the SS1 dinky style on an unfinished body with the san dimas carved neck and a contoured heel. Build time is 6 to 8 weeks.

Absolutely great ! I ended up getting it later than expected b/c Scott was not happy with the grain on the original body so he started over I believe. Anyway……the guitar rips. I went with the SS2 dinky style body and i retrospect I think I should have done an SS1 but hey I can always order another one ! The guitar plays and feels great. Its very much like a Charvel but it really has its own vibe going on. It really feels more like my japanese made 94 Dinky Professional XL.
I have video posted on youtube and on this site. Go getcha one !

What a nice sounding guitar acoustically! You can really hear every note even over the sound of the amp distortion.

Great licks and tone. That combo of your rig and the guitar sounds like a shredder's dream.

The majikbox Aldrich Rocketfuel sounds great in front of the Nitro. It sounds awful with my 5153 though.

FWIW I have an SS1 and an SS2 now. My beloved Charvel Music Zoos have been getting very little play. Jason Oberly painted a comic graphic on my SS1 and it turned out fantastically. Ive been meaning to post videos of both guitars but health issues limit my energy levels and some days I cant play at all. However I will get to it someday and all I can say is that both guitars play like a dream and I really wish I was still able to gig as these guitars are fantastic and deserve better than being locked up in my home studio.
