Nitro doesn't play fair

Had an awesome show with my trusty Nitro last night. My other guitarist in my band just got a Randall RT503H and this was his first gig with it. He was really excited because this is his first tube head and we really got to crank the amps up.
My Nitro absolutely buried him. No matter how loud he turned up he just couldn't compete with the crushing Splawn mids and the Nitro's authority.
We made the decision last night that the only logical choice would be for him to save his pennies and get a Quickrod on order asap.

Yep the variac QR I referred to the VH QR. We need some more info but my curiosity is killing me. I've been pondering how or what I can sell to grab that amp all weekend long.

I prefer extra headroom and punch rather than extra sag from variac power. I wonder if Scott could have a selectable variac like the Mesa Rectifiers have? Just call it something other than "Bold/Spongy".
