All my cabs are 12" deep and tall oversized and 2x12. So, I am looking to get a deeper 212 cab and was thinking of the Splawn 212 cab or a used Mesa Boogie Vertical Rectifier cab. Any suggestions on the cab for the Street Rod? Would rather get used and save money since I will have to buy the SR head new.
Thanks all

Avatar's contemporary 2x12 is 15" deep. I had a Mesa 2x12 vertical Recto cab but I always thought it was thin and boxy sounding. I used to play my old Mark IV through an Avatar cab with G12K-100's and it is by far my 2x12 favorite cab.

I may still go the G12K-100's route, but I never play metal so I might stay with Greenback type speakers since they are sweeter! I decided to get a Mathers oversized 212 cab with Celestion Creambacks......but will use WGS ET65/Invaders till the Celestions are available. Should go well with my Bogner and Stone Age cabs. mathercab.com/images/MARSHALL%20STYLE%20LARGE%202X12.JPG [/img]
