I think the name is the same as drawing pentagrams on your trapper keeper, lame. I found my tone in Splawn, I tune standard, Eb, and drop D. No offense to anyone but the super low tuning is fake heavy to my ears. My Bogners, Splawn, and Boogies still seem tight when I play an 8 string through them so I guess I'm just missing the point.

Me too. We play Alice in Chains "Them Bones" and I like that opening riff to be punishing and tight and it is perfecto with all my amps.  |
