I just picked up a used pro stock. It didn't have a footswitch and I was wondering if I need to buy a replacement footswitch. The gear knob on the front does not seem to do much; I was wondering if it needs to have a footswitch plugged in to work correctly.

Not a definitive answer, but my Competition (50 watt version of the Pro Stock) shifts gears using the control on the front with no footswitch connected. You just can't get OD2 as OD1 is the default. I've had my footswitch disconnected at least a year.
