I have on order a Street Rod Combo & Extension 1x12 Cab. I am going from a Digital Set Up and I am not sure what to buy for effects or how I want to run them. Looking for Ideas. Anyone using the new TC Electronics FlashBack and Hall of Fame Reverb Pedals ? If you have , are you using them in front or through the Effects Loop ?

Delay, reverb, and modulation fx should go in the loop. Wah and od go out front.

Would you loop a delay pedal and reverb ? Does not change the tone of the amp ? Was thinking of using soemthign with true bypass.

Was also thinking about getting the Rio Grande Pickups for the Bridge in my Strats. Any feedback on that set up in a Strat ?

ANYTHING you add to the signal chain will change the tone/feel of the amp. Like I posted before, delays, reverbs, and modulation (chorus/flanger) should be in the loop. Overdrives, wah pedals, and compression should be placed before the preamp (after the guitar but before the amps input).

I can tell you I use the flashback delay and just love it. I also have a rio grande muy grande pickup and really dig the tone. Definitely run the delay in the loop is what I prefer but some do use in front of the amp. Find what you like. Welcome to the board.

;D Thanks for all the input. I wanted to get just two pedals. A Reverb for the clean sound and a Delay for the Rockin Stuff I play. Was thinkin the TC Electronics stuff was cool since it was True Bypass. I was even wondering about the Nova Pedal since it has presets that maybe I could accomplish both for Clean and Overdriven channels. Scott Splawn also suggested the Eventide Delay Pedal. I have not heard to much about that. I plan in a coverband that covers from Metallica to Lady Gaga ( lol ). So I need to make some cleans sounds , sound really crystal.

I had a time factor and they are awesome but for me I really love the features and tone of the flashback. I play country to metal and my board is a maxon od808, xotic bb plus, flashback delay in the loop. Others may come for a gig or something but those three never leave the board. Just try the flashback, you'll love it. If you have to have presets, either get the eventide or have an iphone and use the toneprint ap from tc and change the preset of your pedal by holding your phone up to your guitar pickup and it beams the new preset to your pedal. I use this and it's awesome, works perfectly.

Careful of the tc pedals they sound good but the switching is very cheap my flashback switch sh!t the bed n 6 months! The reverb sounds ok but doesn't really add to a Splawn as far as tone. I'm back to just a Budda WAh out front and a tuner, mxr phase 90 and carbon copy delay in the loop pretty simple but great sound! I run this way in both my Q.R. and my S.R.

The Eventide pedals are great IMO. I run a Time Factor and Space in the loop along with a Rocktron Replifex. I actually like the Eventide pedals a little more than the Replifex so they get most the use. Easy to dial in great sounds and midi switchable so they tie in nicely with my programmable switching system. Rugged as heck too!

GREAT Feedback Guys , thanks so much !! I play out 8 to 12 times a month , so something rugged is what I need. Hmm...
