Nitro w/ KT88s - Volume

I'm a new Splawn Nitro owner (less than 2 months) and have a question about volumes. My Nitro w/ KT88s is very loud before I even get it to 2 or 3 (9 O'Clock). Is this normal? Happens on both the clean and the OD channel.

Also, when I'm on my OD channel, I get a lot of high end feedback really quickly and easily even with an ISP Decimator on. Is this normal for anyone else?

9:00 on the volume is LOUD on a Nitro. As far as the feedback goes what are the rest of your settings, od1 or od2?

As far as the volume, I basically just tap it from zero until sound comes out of the speaker and it is loud enough. It is just so loud!

I'm just using OD1, same thing when I do switch to OD2 as well but I mostly use OD1. I've messed around with the EQ quite a bit so I have no specific settings.

Any help would be much appreciated!
