Hey all, new Streetrod owner here. My gosh what an amp. Anyway, I am almost certain that when I first received the amp, both the lead channel volume and the solo boost control had a more dramatic affect on volume than they do now. Here's what I mean:
At first, the lead channel volume got very loud very early in its range when in pentode, but had a much more gradual increase when in triode. This seemed normal/expected.
In either mode (pent/tri) the solo boost control seemed capable of far more boost when I first received the amp, but now seems make only a very little volume increase even when I dime the control.
Am I nuts or could there be an issue or explanation?

I know with the QR that if you push the Gain Chanel Master much past 11 o'clock you lose nearly all the volume boost you would normally get when kicking in the Solo Boost. Basically... as the Channel Master is increased the volume boost on tap for Solo mode decreases. If you're using the Loop Volume to control overall volume, try turning down the Gain Channel Master and turning up the Loop Volume, that should give you back your volume boost in Lead mode.

Yup. Same on my Nitro. With the volume past 10:00 or so the solo loses it's effectiveness.

I have found as was suggested that the solo boost has less impact at higher volumes. For that I put a boost in the loop. The issue I was having seems to be related to something funky in the amp. The other day I switched to the lead channel and was getting a stuttering sound like there was some kind of bad connection. I whacked the amp with my hand and it went away and hasn't come back since. After that, the solo boost also behaved more normally at the lower volumes. I gig a lot, so this scared me, but I haven't had any issues since. Maybe there was some dirty connection or relay or something. Anyway, thanks for the replies.
