Recorded both clips with a Gibson LP with Suhr Aldrich pups. Both clips are unboosted with no fx. Gain is at noon on both clips. I play a riff on OD1 and then repeat the riff on OD2. The videos are annotated so you know when I am in OD1 or OD2.

Thanks for the comaprrison. They both kick ass. It's hard to decide which one sounds better.

Both clips sounds great. It sounds like the 2012 has a little lower mids. I would be happy with either one of those amps.

The 2008 was brighter with a more pronounced upper mid tone. The 2012 sounded a bit darker and warmer.

'08 sounds better, clearer, and angrier to me, which fits what I hear in QR clips, too. The '12 sounds too soft. I'd be fiddling with knobs, trying to make it sound like the '08.  Same trannies? |

2008 sounds better. 2012 sounds looser with less bite.

Putting some new preamp tubes in the 2012. Damn thing is still whistling and a microphonic mess at band volume. My gig last weekend was a bit ugly with it.
