Just wondering how people approach micing the amp. I started with an SM57 right in the middle of the cone straight on. However had kind of a harshness to it out of the PA. Also have noted that if Im right in front and level with the speaker it has that harshness to it. Did a little research and seems people suggest micing a guitar speaker about 2/3 out from the center of the cone. That did seem to produce out front what I was hearing from the amp. I use either an SM47 or e609. Not much difference between the two. Any thoughts? Doesnt do any good to have a great sounding amp sound crappy through the PA. Thanks, Mike
