Hey guys I am just curious what your settings are. Do you find that you need to run treble, and presence fairly high, and bass before noon to get a clear tone? My street rod has stock tubes that supposedly are fairly new. Could the fact that I am liking a back panel cause this?

I usually run my eq's at noon for the clean, and 11 oclock for treb, noon for mids and about noon for bass for drive. I keep presence at 0.
I spoke to Scott and he indicated that you need to leave the back panels on for cooling purposes. The back panels actually help keep it cooler. Odd I know.

I run my drive channel EQ similar to GADZZ. Except that I run all three: Bass/Treble/Mid all around 1-2 o'clock. I also run a Maxon OD808 in front to tighten it up. Gain at zero, tone at noon, at output dimed.

I have some say that theirs is dark, if anything they tend on the really bright side if my amp is a good example. I wonder why?

I just like the extra juice from a clean boost for touch sensitivity and sustain. It's just me...

I was curious to see how you gentlemen are using it. I am experimenting with mine a bit. I had but kt77 in the power section to check them out in the amp, and the were pretty cool. I but the stock El34B in today, but didnt have a chance to really play on it to tell the difference between them. I have a feeling I am going to like the KT77 better. I am running stock pre amp tube but think I should give all JJ's a try. I have el34's with all jj pre's in my quick rod and it is awesome. I run an OCD boost in front of the QR, and it just makes it scream! does the same in front of the SR. Do you guys find that the SR has a softer bottom end than the QR?
