Thanks guys! I've always considered it a beater guitar but now that its redone, I cant put it down. It plays great and sounds great too. I almost cant believe it! For a guitar that Gibson only made for a second or two, its every bit as good if not better than my LP Jr. The humbuckers scream (I believe they are unpotted Dimarzios) and the 3 different voicing from the rotary switch give you so many sounds....especially when you start fiddling with the tone knob. It can go from Slash to Blackmore to Big Muff with just a knob tweak!

Don't think I've seen a Hawk before. I would totally date that.
Does it have the same size silhouette as a Les Paul, just thinner? Or is it smaller all around. It looks dinky.

Ha, dinky...Yeah, I guess that word works a bit. Its pretty much the size of a Les Paul Jr or Special, maybe a little more trim but not much if any. I think the huge difference with this guitar is that It has a 25 1/2" scale so it feels a lot different that my other more traditional Gibsons. It's kind of Fender meets Gibson. It's an all-mahogany throwback guitar for me...As simple as it gets aside from the rotary switching. I'm definitely on the search for a pickup set for it. These unpotted Supers are nice and loud but the squeal like a pig when you get up in the speakers!!! I was thinking of a BFG style pickup config with a p90 in the neck and humbucker bridge.
