And here I am with my cheap-ass EMGs! A guy I know swears by his Nailbombs, they have a nice attack through his jcm800. Hey I don't think that EMGs are cheep, as a matter of fact I strongly believe that they are a very premium pickup, especially the 81. It's just the times. I remember when emg were the cat pajamas. It's kinda like the moment from 80's to 90', hair metal not allowed! I think that the emg pickups were one of the most influential pickups in modern music. I too own a jcm800 with a SanHose Mod from voodoo amps. That with my lesson paul loaded with emg, a Keeley modded SD and is tone for days brother! Nothing cheap about it!

Cool, I might try to find a second hand BK set, I should have got some in the US....would have been alot cheaper! I've just been using the EMGs for so long I'm kind of used to them.

Very nice Les Paul! If never played the rebel yells but I do have the Mule and a set of VHii and I'm really happy with the results. I think that BK pickups are great in their consistency in making great sounding pickups.

Just changed my bridge pickup in one of my single cuts, to a BK mule. I had it in a prs custom24 but found it sounded a bit brittle. But now that it's in the single cut, man I should have done this sooner. It sounds so classic, way better than the #6 pickups before, mby something to do with the fat body. I'll put a video up this weekend.
