Ok, I already have a SB loaded Splawn 4x12 and my Splawn 2x12 has a GOV/MOW in it. I've grown to love the SB's in my 4x12 and have a chance to trade my GOV/MOW's for a pair of either SB's or BB's
Should I go all SB's or put a pair of BB's in the 2x12? I would run an 'X' pattern but I have to get two 8 ohm speakers in order to be able to run both cabs together, so I cant do that. So it's either gonna be my 2x12 with two SB's or with two BB's
What would you guys do?...and why?
thanks!

Well yet more SBs aren't going to give you new tone flavors to play with, are they? I'd grab the BBs to try 'em out. I own neither, of course, but my favorite combo is the two Celestions they're copied from.

I hear what youre sayin. But I also think that because I will have to wire the speakers in series it may give me different tone thus making them sound 'different' then the other sb's in my 4x12. Plus I could use my 2x12 all by itself for smaller gigs and still get that sb goodness that I love Im torn on this! My mind says get the BB's but my heart wants the SB's. BB's just dont seem to get the love of the SB's ya know? Im glad you are the only one that frequents this board to asnwer questions and/or harass/make fun of me ;D

I have a 2x12 with a sb/bb and think it sounds great. Would it be possible to have one of each? Nice full sound and you could mic whichever depending on room

One guy has a pair of BB's and another guy has a pair of SB's. Both want my GOV and MOW as a trade. I like the GOV/MOW but Im really diggin' the SB's. Though they sound great, I think Ive just grown tired of the GOV/MOW combo

Series is warmer and looser in my experience. Nice and smooth. Don't know if you read my thing. Splawn Emis only come in 16 Ohm, don't they? So with two in series you'd have a 32 Ohm cab. How are you going to use that on its own? I think you want the Smallies in any case.

+1 cecilbag, wall of sound. The good news is you can't go wrong with whatever Splawn speakers you use!

I love that cab you sold me. The mix of both is really full and when an emi is broken in they just sing
