New tune I'm working on. All the lead tones are a Charvel San Dimas (w/Super Distortion and PAF Pro) into the Cameron, such a sweet amp! Clip / Download

I hear something amiss with V3, which only I can fix. I would look into shipping to Pittsburgh.

LMAO! It's still an early pre-mix...I think I need a tad more low end on the lead tone, should be able to EQ it in without getting muddy, that might be what's is fooling the V3 tube. (-;

;D
I did actually think it could do with being warmer, but it sounds great, nicely detailed, and your playing's getting pretty scary. If you won't send the Cameron, you could at least help me out by getting into an ability rut like the rest of us.

Thanks! You're already a great player dude, very skilled IMO...I still have your Strat/QR "Yngwie tone" clip as reference. Plus, you've already got the same secret weapon I have...the QR, lol. They are a bit tougher than most amps to play lead stuff with IMO, at least when you get beyond the 12th fret that is....after 3 years with mine, my technique has clearly improved. Now other amps make me feel like my runnng shoes are off the trail and on the track! Post EQ - something I suck at. Do you happen to have any suggestion (freq wise) that might polish this up? Shouldn't take much, definitely no cuts needed just add a db or two somewhere, right? Thanks again for the honest input!

Well, FWIW, I re-upped a warmer mix (just the lead that is) to the same link above. I also dropped the main guitar down just a smidge to help it sit better in the mix. Think it sounds better now!

Soundin' good! It did sound like you were playing over a backing before, rather than melding with a whole cohesive tune. Think you got a good level there. Still clear but not "soloed". And warmer.
Sorry I was no use on the frequency thing. Though I have these freaky ears that can hear your watch tick next door, I am not an accomplished home producer sort. I pretty much hit stop and go in GarageBand! Downgraded from more complicated software because a sea of options stops me moving on. I did have a nice list of guitar frequencies that helps approaching post EQ, indicating the ranges we hear as muddy, brittle, harsh, boomy, all the unwanted stuff, so you could address whatever was troubling you right away, but it's loitering somewhere on my old half dead Mac.

Thanks again man! Coming back to it today with fresh ears was a big test - and it still works now, so I'm happy with it. Next project, lol.
I wish I had ears like that. I can barely make out what people are saying on TV unless it's blasting or I'm sitting on top of it.
I also have one of those handy lists explaing the basic "zones", etc, but with my ears and inability to apply it, it does me zero good, lol, I rely soooo much on others to point thigs out to me. Sad.
