maybe this is immoral but I've been using a clean boost in the loop along with reverb and delay and it seems to work really well. I also have the volume pedal in there. I don't find the solo boost in the my streetrod very useful. Clean boosts should be in front of the amp. Not in the loop. What is wrong with the solo boost on your amp?

Is the solo boost on the street rod different than the quickrod? If I even breath on my boost there's a seismic event lol

Yeah, the boost on my Nitro is like that too. I thought about replacing the footswitch button with one of those aviation switches with the flip up cover. Haha

well my solo boost doesnt seem to do much if I am running my gain channel volume past around 10:00 and have the solo dimed it gives me a little. I have a delay and chorus in the loop and I found adding a clean boost pedal at the end works pretty well.
I actually use my clean channel a fair bit and find I have to have my gain channel much higher then may clean channel to get any perceived volume parity. I run the clean arond 8:30-9:00 and the gain close to noon. That surprised me as my previous amp (Mesa Lonestar) was the opposite. But with gain volume at noon my boost doesnt give me much.

Your street rod sounds killer. Did it come with a SB or BB speaker?

Sounds great nonetheless. I think you can look through your open back panel and see what speaker is in there without opening it up. I'm digging those Nuno clips , especially "When I'm President" licks. Great song! Winger stuff was cool too.

My Quick Rod's solo volume boost diminishes as I turn up the gain channel master. I'm running it with a Rivera Rock Crusher attenuator and the channel master is at about 9:45, not quite 10 o'clock. In order to get enough volume boost from the lead boost I need to dial it up to around 12-12:30. Before adding the attenuator I used to run the channel master around 8:45-9 o'clock and had the solo boost set to around 10:30 and it was plenty. Once you get the gain channel master past 10:30 or so the solo boost is pretty much useless as there is no more additional volume on tap. Having said that, at least with the QR, 10 o'clock w/o any attenuation is freaking loud as you know what!!! I would try backing down the gain channel master and opening up the loop volume some... you'll probably find your solo boost volume coming back to life.

Your clips are all great but similar. How about some clean and Plexi mode clips?

too thin. need to roll back the guitar tone knob about 1/4 turn and then add amp treble/presence to compensate. then add more gain. I've noticed that rolling back the tone and adding gain like this on my Kramer and Ibanez prestige gives me thicker *LP* tones but retains the lively vocal brilliance of a Strat tone. I don't know why it does, but you need this. With you coming thru ear buds and youtube, your tone is thin. I sure it sounds awesome live, though. Brent.

A lot of interesting comments. Despite the poor audio on this iPhone your sound was pretty awesome. I agree with the other poster, seems your lead could be a little more out front, but could just be this crappy phone audio.
The amp sounded great. What number did you have the amp volume dialed to?... and was your guitar wide open? I wonder were you on gear 1,2,or 3?,... OD 1-2?

I am sure the guitar was wide open....bridge pickup....the amp was probably on 9:30 ish - 10....I was not using the solo boost. I find it difficult to get a really fat lead tone .....that I like. I run my QR and SR on gear two....sometimes going to OD2. My QR is much fatter.....but I still love the SR. As many of you know, live tone is different than sitting in a bedroom. There is a lot going on...plus the quality of the recording device....
