Nice tone Kevin. What do you prefer for gigs sr or qr? I know that's a broad statement but if you could only have one what would it be

Nice tone Kevin. What do you prefer for gigs sr or qr? I know that's a broad statement but if you could only have one what would it be Tough question! Obviously, any Splawn is great, but the SR is gain-e-er......more saturation than my QR....so in that respect, notes fly from it easily. However, there is just something about the QR growl...less gain, but huge CAJONES. so, I guess I really can't answer it definitively...sorry! ;-)

I have played both and for me, they are too similar for me to have both. I wish I could play a Wolfgang or Ernie Ball guitar. They don't seem to make any guitars for people with long arms and big hands.

Very cool! Great to see the SR in action!
I hope to get out this spring. I'll post some stuff if everything goes as planned!

Kevin, your tone is so tasty. I am thinking that is way more your amp and speakers rather than the guitar. I still wish I could play a Wolf or ER. Too, too small for my hands. I have to stic k to my PRSi, Gibsons and Fenders.

Cool tone, might have to get a street rod!! Some nights it'd be nice to have a combo version of my QR... Maybe have to sell my Nitro lol

Were you using the solo boost? The leads didn't jump out like I expected. Are you running effects through the loop?

Nope, no solo boost.....I probavbly should use it...but I dont.
Yes, what effects I have I run in the loop. Chorus and delay. Only the delay was on. I don't know if I would call the pups creamy. I think of them as raw.

I'd love to hear that tone just punching out! I have had it with solos being buried in the mix.

maybe this is immoral but I've been using a clean boost in the loop along with reverb and delay and it seems to work really well. I also have the volume pedal in there. I don't find the solo boost in the my streetrod very useful.
