Hey guys, I got a gift certificate to a local music store and was thinking about getting a new chorus. I already have a boss ch-1 super chorus. I like running two amps off of a stereo pedal. I have been looking at the mxr stereo chorus and the zakk wylde chorus. Do you guys think I should ditch the digital boss for an analog mxr chorus for stereo? Thanks!

IMO, modulation is always better when it’s analog. I think most any analog chorus would sound better than your ch-1, but that's just me. You may like the sterile pristine fake poo sound of digital chorus.

I like analog as well. I appreciate the imput! No prob. Digital is great for delays, reverb, and other weird effects but sounds very thin and cold on modulation.

Awesome guys! Exactly what I wanna hear. I have slowly removed all the boss pedals from my pedalboard all I have is my ch-1 chorus that I want to replace and I have a keely modded SD-1 but it's staying.

I use 3 Boss pedals; DD-7, PS-3, and PH-1r and love them. The phaser is analog and the other two are digital. For chorus I use an analogman bi-chorus or its cheaper alternative the EHX small clone

I use 4 Boss pedals and love em all. Flanger Bf-3, Noise Supp. NS-2, Digital Delay DD-3 and yes a Super Chorus CH-1. Here's a vid where I am using the DD-3 and NS-2. www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8pCOe0ZNtA

i recently picked up a Retro Sonic analog chorus pedal. chorus and also tremolo which can be dialed in to sound like a leslie rotating speaker. smoothest, warmest chorus i've ever heard. freaking expensive, but worth it for 2 killer pedals in one!

Nice! I've heard good things about them. Were they the ones modeled off the OG Boss CE-1? My analogman bi-chorus is ridiculous expensive but damn does it sound good! I keep telling myself I don't need such a costly pedal for how little I use it but I can't bring myself to sell it.
