I am looking to boost my signal through my pedal chain as I have noticed some tone suck again. I didn't notice it for a while but since I changed my tubes..... I can clearly hear the difference when plugged straight into amp. I have a chance to get a Fulltone Fat Boost version1 from someone. Would this help my signal? I know my low e string sounds muddy when going through pedals but crisper when going straight in. Any recommendations for pedals if the fulltone is no good? I know a valvulator would work but it's expensive. I've also seen an Option 5 destination bump and JHS little black buffer but the Fulltone is local here and I could have it tomorrow.

Not better to reduce some pedals off the front end, Bri, or at least identify the worst of the suckees by process of elimination?
It just seems a little bit like:
"Doctor, doctor, my amp sounds bad with all these pedals!"
"Add more pedals."

Yeah I hear ya. I am gonna try some type of signal boost pedal and see if it cures it. If not I'll go without pedals. I just love the response and tightness of it when I plug straight in. If I could get that with effects on top....... I would drool all over my guitar all the time. It seems like the valvulator does this for sure so maybe I should just fork out and try it!
Funny though that when my tubes were tired before, the difference wasn't as pronounced using pedals vs. straight in as it is now with fresh tubes.

Hey Ayton I found where the tone suck was coming from. It's coming from the fx loop. I put my Noise Suppressor at the end in the loop with the settings all at 0 so as to only use it's buffer and it sounds alot better. It's not 100% tonesuck free but about 98% I'd say. And for my E string sounding muddy....... I notice my B string sounding buzzy and weird. Turns out I adjusted my truss rod way too tight on Monday. I am usually good at adjusting that but I must have been drunk or something. Now that I adjusted it properly, it sound great again. And here I was tweaking and fidgiting around for days with my pedals tubes etc. I am a retard! Here in montreal it gets cold at this time of year and dry so I have to adjust my necks every fall and spring.
