Ok, the video is lame but I hope yooze like the tune itself, lol. This is my first video so be gentle. I was pretty lazy, just took some pics of the gear used to record the tune and mixed in a little actual video footage here and there. (=

You f'n LOSER, this was HORRIBLE. Wait, gentle you said. Nice to finally see you, Kab. ;D I don't think it was lazy at all; it's always nice when someone takes the time to do a little editing rather than one continuous shot from a webcam for four minutes (which I'm guilty of plenty of the time). I mean sure, by the end I was like okay, I know you've got these two amps and three guitars, but overall it's great to have live action, cutaways, and some Ken Burns photo action mixed together. The tune and toanz are hot, but we already knew that. *subscribe*

LOL!! Thanks, man!! I do wish I had more gear to include but that was basically everything, lol! I'm such a minimalist.

PS: to pick up a few more plays, get more specific about gear in the description and the tags. i.e. not just "Charvel" but what models, what pickups, your speakers, etc. People searching for all that stuff will then find you, too.

Very, very cool song. What did you use for backing track? Live drummer, software?

Thanks, Tusker, too kind!!! (=
Thank you, weegie!! It's my on material, tracked everything myself here in my little home studio. The drums are believe it or not "EZDrummer"....I just tweak the death outta them, especially when it comes to the actual 'playing parts'...always taking a loop and altering it for more "life."

Splawn sounds great dude - Good job! What gear is it in? Thanks! The main lead/melody/solo parts are all 1st gear, OD2 and a small clean boost from the BB Preamp. I think one of the tone notes worth mentioning in this tune is that I mic'd (blended) two different speakers, one of which many Splawn owners say to stay away from....what you're hearing is a 50/50 mix of the dreaded v30 with a Greenback. Yeah, alone, I don't care for the v30 with my QR, but mixed with a complimentary speaker, it works.

LOL that color just gives me the warm and fuzzies....I was looking online and I saw they make a kramer (!!!) striker in that exact color...has me thinking stupid things...must stop thinking stupid things =) anywho, keep the clips coming!

I just love the tone, bb preamp ordered Hey thanks for the props man!! You'll love the BB, amazing pedal for adding some playability/boosting and far more versatile than you'd think sonically, LUV mine, I've got it dialed in for a little more mid squawk. As for the axes, I really only have three 'babies' right now and it's funny how it worked out, but to me, they each have their strong areas (though they can all cover other areas as well). My US Custom Ibanez is Alder with a AA Maple top and is the best sounding guitar I have for cleans (especially with the 5 way switch). The white Charvel (alder) in the video is loaded with an old Super Distortion and PAF Pro and sounds best for rhythms. And lastly, the burst Charvel in the vid is mahogany with a maple top and is the best of the three for single notes/leads, etc. Funny thing though, I bought that one used and have no clue what model EMG's are in it (never been a fan)...so I really have to wonder if it's the pickups that I like or the wood, but man, I hate using the word "toneful", but that is the most toneful guitar in my humble stash, lol. So for tracking, the video is accurate - the white Charvel was used on all the rhythm parts (the semi dirty verses and the crunchier chorus, bridge and solo sections). The other Charvel was used used for all the leads, harmonies, solo, etc.
