I was told to get the 30watters for the 4x12 and the 65watters for a 2x12 by Jim at Southbay Ampworks. Makes sense, cause you can get the 130watt 2x12 to sound like the 120watt 4x12.

Yep.......they are all loud. I am hoping that I can rid of these. I just recieved 4 custom speaker boxes from Ted Weber, so whoever buys them will get them safe and sound.

See, the problem with me is this..........I never used to research nothing. When I started to research the amps and guitars I totally overlooked the speakers. I just got what everyone said was good and I settled with it. But ever since I got the Quick Rod I really started to think about it. I had to find out what sounded good to my ears. Not what everyone else thought was good. I understood what I wanted out of my 4x12s. When I called Jim at Southbay Ampworks about the Scumbacks, I told him roughly what I was wanting. I didn't know how to describe it. He asked me what kind of amps I was using, what my favorite bands were, what I would like to hear, and what I thought was missing. He told me exactly what I was looking for.........good thing cause I didn't know how to describe it! LOL

HAHAHA.. Motrock you are right with 99% of guitarist look for THAT sound! ( including me ) I am hopefull you will be just totaly thrilled with the speakers! my venture has me moving back and forth between speakers and amps. even though I have landed at the vintage 30's for the time being. but that twist isnt without still venturing for cool sounds! in my little custom combo I have on of those G12h-30 and a V-30 speakers in it. I dig the g12h-30 a lot. and I hear the mids from the v30. very cool combination. haha.. after we both get our new speakers I can wait to see what we do next! LMAO!

Motrock, The check is in the mail for your last two G12H30's. Thanks for you time and patience. I can't wait to put them in the stardard "X" pattern formation with my other two Red Coat "Man O War" 12's.
I'm picking up tomorrow a mint, used Splawn 4-12 "unloaded" cabinet here locally. It's red and it will match nicely with my Quick Rod.
Also, Dave Mansel & David McNaught are building me a Mansel Axe which will be ready hopeful in the next month or two. Needless to say, I can hardly wait. Thanks again, Charles
PS. Shortly, I'll be placing my nearly mint, 2-12 Black Unloaded Splawn cabinet with salt and pepper cloth grill on the market for sale. If anyone is interested please email me at tems_cytostand@yahoo.com
