It still sickens me to this day to see Vivian selling out like that. He was a shred monster that inspired many back in the Dio days....(

I think Vivian Shambles was way overrated to begin with. Sloppy,, messy, just bad playing.. great riffs with Dio.. but not a shredder by any means. Joining Def Leppard was a perfect ghey match for his sh!tty playing. Its pretty sad when your Phil Colon's backup.

Some of their older songs were pretty good I thought...but once they went all ghey I lost interest..too watered down too boring...I always liked their older tone too..good solid hard rock crunch

After Pete Willis left it was all downhill after that. Those first two albums were great though. I heard from someone in the UK that he worked at a gas station.. if he could have hung for one more record he would probably have made some $$.. Ironically they fired HIM for drinking too much.. Then of course the drummer drunk drove his arm off and Steve Clark (the second worst guitarist ever) drank himself to actual death.. another reason to hate Def Leppard.  |
