I really want a StreetRod and looking to get one by summer end. What speakers do you guy recommend that also work with other amps - Bogner SHiva, Mesa Dual Rec, etc.
I was thinking the Scumback M75s for now?

I have a Splawn 4x12 with Small Blocks and it sounds fantastic with everything Ive ran through it. I ran a Mesa Boogie Mark IV through it and while it didnt sound quite as good as that head running through V30's, it was still pretty awesome. The Small Blocks didnt have quite as much low end and not quite as much high end but it still sounded great. Ran an Egnater Rebel 30, a Fuchs modded Fender Bassman, and a Mesa Dual Rec through the Splawn cab as well and they all sounded great...I know alot of guys on here like the Scumback speakers too, never heard them live...

Celestion G12K-100's are pretty nuetral with a really smooth top end. Classic Lead 80's are supposed to be pretty transparent also.

I like the K-100s except the bass is too overwhelming!!!! Going back to CL80s, V30s and Greenbacks...unless I decide to take the plunge on Scumbacks

I would love to do the Splawn Small Blocks or Big Blocks but I need cabs that work with my other amps, LOL.
Right now I have a 20th Ann Bogner Shiva and 2011 Dual Rectifier. Next up is probably the StreetRod.
Cabs are Bogner OS212, THD 212 with CL80s, soon to buy either Stone Age 212 or Port City 212 with either Mesa V30s, Celestion G12K100s or G1265s.
Soon also to own a Marshall 412 with Greenbacks.
So are there Celesitons the Splawns work well with? I know Splawns are mor eupper mids, right? Might not be the best with V30s!....but the Mesa V30s have more low mids and are smooth.
I even thought about just matching up all my cabs with the amp....so maybe a Splawn 212 cab. Which speaker do they recommend for the Splawn 212?

Yeah,
I played my splawn with a few Scumback models, a Weber Thames, G12H30s, all sounded good but a G12T75. My RM100 didn't like the Splawn speakers. If you are not using a Line 6, 7 string or super low tuning, most speakers are safe.
I think most of the speakers you listed are good choices. You might enjoy pairing a speaker with diff resonance from the CL80 and G1265 like the G12m75 or G12h55, (Celestion, Weber or Scumback). Had mixed exposure to G12K speakers. Sounded great in a DR amp, sounds awful with a Line 6...(ok, ok so a Line 6 is not "tone tester")
Good Luck!

Yes,
when broken in, the Scumback is all it's cracked up to be.

I am guessing because Splawns are fairly aggressive they use their special designed Eminence speakers. Looks like the Small Block is a Greenback type? Would a Celestion G12-65 work as well??? I have those....but they are rather mellow with my other amps.

Decided I will go with Celestion G12-65s! Love those things with aggressive amps!

Do you guys find the Small Block speakers to sound harsh like Greenbacks? It seems like higher wattage speakers like the Celesiton V30s with T75s or Eminence Man o Wars and Governors sound way smoother and warmer than the Greenback types!
Starting to think Eminence speakers are smoother and warmer than Celestions maybe. Or maybe I hate Greenbacks.
