Well, I'm sure I don't have to tell y'all how difficult things have been financially for most over the last few years, myself included. Haven't seen a bonus check in over three years and on top of that... got hit with a 20% pay cut a little less that two years ago. I've been struggling, just getting by, and new gear (or any non-essential stuff) has been outta the question. However, I finally see light at the end of the tunnel. I just landed a killer job (40% increase in pay + bonus up to 35% of my annual salary)! I start 6/13 and I'm already gassing for some new Splawn gear. Street Rod? A couple more cabs so I can set up a wet/dry/wet rig? I dunno, but the thought process has already started!

Thanks Splatter! Basically it's technical sales. I have a fluid power engineering certification (combining principles and disciplines of electrical and mechanical engineering) and I work for a manufacturer of automation components and systems. I work with companies that manufacture automated machinery used in just about any industry you can imagine. There's a little travel, but only around Southern California between L.A. and San Luis Obispo. Sometimes the occasional trip back to H.Q. in New York. I get to make my own schedule and work from my home office, but... I still have a boss like anyone else. But all in all... it's a good gig.
