So the lead guitarist in my band (adamsatticmusic.com) just got a quickrod, and I wanted to figure out what would be a better rhythm paring with a quickrod, another quickrod or a nitro? I really like the openness of the quickrod (from what I've heard in videos). It sounds very organic and completely uncompressed, which I love, but will having 2 quickrods (1 eq'd for lead and the other for rhythm) just interfere with eachother and take up the same space or would they actually sit well together?
In regards to the nitro, from what I've heard in videos and read around the internet, the nitro is much more modern sounding. Does the nitro make for a good rhythm amp to compliment the quickrod playing lead? Also does it get the overcompressed lower-mid heavy sound that mesas are known for?
Gain wise I would need to range from light breakup to moderate saturation, don't need anything crazy.
Which of the two amps would fit what I'm looking for better and which one would compliment the quickrod better?

My Nitro is a great metal rhythm amp. For edge of breakup/moderate saturation maybe you should look at a Promod. The Nitro is very saturated and modern sounding with very low mids.

Get a Quickrod and call it a day. The other guitar players Quickrod will cut more live. Depending on what tuning you play in though. If both guitars are in standard you may be able to mix a Nitro and Quickrod pretty good without one getting lost in the mix. Fireflight use C# tuning so Quickrods suit their needs better.
