Hi all! I'm new to this board. I'm logged in as "goldenchild" but you all can call me Fab. I'm french so don't be too rude with my english abilities. (though I can understand nearly everything, and I can manage to make you understand me...) As a future owner (Splawn Pro Stock) I Just wanted to pay tribute to those youtube posters that made me want a Splawn so bad, so I'll regularly post some links to the Splawn Vids and clips I like the most. Here's the first one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=61vHdEQtgEA&feature=relatedSee ya! Fab. [/quote]

Oh well, I guess I can make do with second place. Thank you. ^_^ (You get a little taste of the Slash tone at the end there, Alnico II Pro bridge pickup, LP, 1st Gear OD2.) Ah, yes. Andy is on this forum too. I've teased him numerous times about selling this amazing modded orange Plexi, such a marvelous crunch it had. Some Splawn mods seem to basically be a Quick Rod inside a Marshall shell, but some, like this one, retain a lot of Marshall character with added gain and texture. So sweet.

Oh well, I guess I can make do with second place. Thank you. ^_^ So I think you're gonna like tonight's one... ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNCYVdanfyAJust shows how carefull the Splawn guys are when it comes to packing and shipping their amps... It's good to see these kind of things. PS: I love the "watch sequence" Made my wife hilarious. That's why I knew The Pro Stock would be the best for me. I think he says somewhere that it's a "pre-quickrod" Modded Plexi. Though, to my ears, it retains a lot of what makes the Splawn signature sound. The first part could be gear1/od1, while the second part could be gear1/od2 (the exact tone I'm looking for) Long story short... It's a killer amp. Thanx for the reply. See ya. Fab.

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, here's what really made the difference, for me, between the Quickrod and the Pro Stock. Tonight: The Pro Stock. (first production run... 2 inputs) www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CgXU4CwZHk&feature=relatedRead, somewhere on the forum, that both inputs were: High input: Gear 2 Low input: Gear 1 If the Gears sound like that in the real world (I mean, not on You2be), well! There's nothing to do but buy one... Instantly. That's all folks... See Ya. Fab.

Hi ya all Splawn freaks... Tonight I want to pay tribute to crazier freaks... James Logo and all these guys, from TGP, who tried and recorded all the amps you can imagine... In one Weekend... For you, now, here's the 2010 L.A. Amp Fest. (Nitro and QuickRod and many other amps...) www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ey52hi9gQM&feature=relatedPersonnaly, I find the QuickRod (equal with the Nitro, here... Great surprise, I would've thought the Nitro to be a lot darker... its amazingly clean sounding. Reminds me a little of my old VHT CL100EQ...) and Friedman modded Marshall to be the best of them all. A Challenger, to me, would be the Ceriatone Chupacabra, though I find it a little too fuzzy for my tastes, but man!!!! What a punch... And you... Which one do you find to be the best? See Ya. Fab.

Yeah, had these in my favorites for a while. Such a great thing those guys did. The QR does do really well, so much shape to the tone, though the Friedman in that video is pretty right-nut worthy too. I think the QR has more worthy competition in the Part 2 video. Several amps in that video I'd be happy to share my bed home with.

Cheers dude - That's my vid and my Quickrod!!! And my terrible playing.... ;D And I find it very inspiring. When I search for a new amp, and I can't try one, I go on Youtube and see if I can find some (not too compressed) vids that show how the amp sounds and reacts... Your one is the one that made me realize that Splawn amps, like the QuickRod and its derivatives, can handle low to medium gain real well. Thanx for that dude. See Ya. Fab.
